about nine months ago, while surfing through different jw web sites, i came across a reference to an e-mail that was sent to the poster.. the e-mail basically said that with the way that things are going with the society, i.e., so many " waking up", and not being so easy to mislead and control., that there very likely will be a "big" announcement regarding the order to kill the "apostates" and the "wicked people".. the source said that it would go something like this:.

there would be talks, and some wordings in the magazines, alluding to an upcoming announcement.

I thank all of you for your consideration of my post, and for your responses. Espiecially, Alan, I thank YOU!

I was not trying to "promote" anything, nor trying to "shoot my mouth off". I have just been very bothered about what I had come across on the web. I finally decided that if anyone "out there" would know what I was talking about, it would be one of you.

Alan, I do not know if your response was a joke, or a speculation, but it certainly sounded real! And so very believable! I hope that we all remember that orders to kill, in the name of Jehovah, is not a new concept at all. Even one of the elders said to me, before I was disfellowshipped for being raped and not screaming, "You know, if we were living in the days of Israel, you'd be taken outside the city gates and stoned to death". I really don't think this elder would have had any problem of shooting me if he felt that it was Jehovah's will...and that I was an "enemy of Jehovah".

Also, please know that I was not, in any manner, trying to promote the idea of 'crazy JW's coming after us'. Rather, I came to this Forum with the subject because I simply had nowhere else to turn for help. I am not "crazy", or stupid. And I am not trying to turn anyone away from, or to, anything.

At least the subject gives one pause...and something to chew on.

I enjoyed reading each of your responses...again, espiecally yours, Alan! Thank you all. I will be looking for further "enlightenment"!

The e-mail basically said that with the way that things are going with the society, i.e., so many " waking up", and not being so easy to mislead and control., that there very likely will be a "BIG" announcement regarding the order to kill the "apostates" and the "wicked people".

The source said that it would go something like this:

There would be talks, and some wordings in the magazines, alluding to an upcoming announcement. The whole shabang would have lots of building up of suspence..naturally prompting much speculation and gossip among the Brothers.

Then it would come out that there would be a very special WATCHTOWER printed that would be restricted...you could only recieve a copy if you were a publisher, and an "active" member. And you could only get it at the Kingdom Hall.

There would be a certain Sunday scheduled, on which every JW would come together, to study the special, (and SECRET), articles to which only JW's could attend.

In these studies the announcement would be carefully outlined in the following manner:

That there is "New Light". That this "New Light" is that Jehovah will not kill anyone, who is His enemy, after all. That "Jehovah's People", in order to prove their love and loyalty to Him, must take up weapons in a Holy, and Righteous, war against Jehovah's enemies.

The first, and most wicked, of these enemies, would be the "APOSTATES". (Basically, anyone who has left the organization and does not believe that they teach "the Truth".)

Family members (who are JW's) would be espiecially targeted to KILL relatives who are "apostates". Thus doing, they would be "proving" that they "love Jehovah" and "hate" His enemies. Loyalty to the organizatioin, at any cost, must be insured.

(This mentality, and horrid picture of the future, brings vividly to mind the days of the Gestapo during the days of Hitler.)

The e-mail, that the poster was quoting, was very clear in his reasoning on just how probable this scenario is. In fact, he said it MUST HAPPEN!!

Because it is only a matter of time, with growing "discernment" on the part of so many, that the WBTS will have to come up with a believable reason why Armegeddon, "God's Holy War", has not come in the manner that the society has taught for so long, they will HAVE to come up with SOMETHING.

It will come out as "New Light" that, just as in the Bible days when Jehovah's servants took up arms and slaughtered many, so, too, must Jehovah's "true" servants do today.

This situation struck me as quite plausible. Just picturing the Brothers "hungering" for some real "meat in due season", and being tired of the same dish being served in a different manner, and being so well indoctrinated to not think for themselves...to believe and obey whatever the society tells them, I think this would very likely be accepted as "New Light".

I well remember the clever and unhurried...but systematic...way that those working for Hitler got the citizens of Germany to accept the slaughter of countless innocent people...even to casually walking past the piles of bodies along the side of the road. I remember how families, who were formerly loving and protective of each other, were "programed" to turn on one another...reporting them to the "proper authorities" for any little "sin", (of disloyalty to the Party), KNOWING THAT THEY WOULD BE KILLED!!

I did not think to print out what I had read. When I tried to find the same site later, I could not. What I read has continued to haunt me. The organization is so very sick. They thrive on maintaining absolute control...and obediance. And they WILL get desperate.

Please...have you ever heard of anything to this affect?? I would welcome any reply.

Dear Reborn,

I was so grateful to see your post. I remember when my mother got "the truth" in 1959. And I remember the "little green books" that comprised "The Studies In The Scriptures".

I also remember CLEARLY, the phrase back then was, "If you want to remain in the truth, keep studying The Studies In The Scriptures". I have mentioned this to many of the older ones and I have never had anyone remember this!!

There are SO MANY PIECES to this "puzzle of conspiracy", and I am not one who is any good at research, so I thank you, again!

I have saved your post to my "Favorites" on my AOL so that I will have a reference to help me to reach my many family members that are still "in".

where were you when the world ended?

being raised by a single mom was bad enuff for me, a hard headed boy.

add to that a mom that was in and out of the jw's all my life and you can see where the potential for disaster for me came from.. none of you know me, i just found this site while doing research on the death of someone in california (ex-jw).

i like what i see, for the most part.. i was raised from a young age with the threat of death in 1974-75 if i wasnt a good witness.

I enjoyed your post very much!! Wow! You certainly were able to say a lot with relatively few words. And what a story!

I can relate to your "if I'm going to die anyway, I'll do it on my own terms!"...I felt the exact same way.

I "gave up" on trying to please a God that, it seemed, could never be pleased, in 1969. I was in the "thick of things" in San Francisco.

I, too, wasted precious years because I did not know that I would live to see eighteen...and now I am forty-seven!

The really shameful thing is that I "came back" to "the truth", and did the same thing to my precious children that was done to me. They are scarred for life.

Thank you for your post. Your story will help to open a lot of eyes! Hopefully, a visiting Brother or Sister will get a better "slant" on things because of you.

I hope that you will write more!!

Way too harsh! Aren't we suppose to be "supportive"? But, I do see your point. Sometimes a little "tough love", and "hard truth", is a necessary ingredient to the recipe of: "Hello!!", and "WAKE UP!!"

But we have to give this poor guy a chance. We have been in his shoes. One has to be brave enough to learn to crawl before he can be brave enough to try to walk! (smile)

Hello to you!! And welcome HOME!!

For here is where you will find love, acceptance, and understanding!! Here, it is not "a crime" to "think for yourself"!

We listen to each other, and there is not one of us here that does not understand where you are, or what you are feeling...we all HAVE BEEN THERE, DONE THAT, BOUGHT THE T-SHIRT, AND GAVE IT TO "GOODWILL"!

To reply to your post:

I see your situation, with this girl that you care for, as "a symptom" of something that is very wrong. Now do not be afraid to listen to reason. You feel it in your own heart that something is wrong.

You are in an organization that tells you that your life does not belong to YOU! If it did, you would feel free to "THINK FOR YOURSELF". But that is against the rules, isn't it? I remember the constant warnings to "guard against independent thinking". But what is the opposite of "independent thinking"?? Isn't is DEPENDENT thinking? And aren't Jehovah's Witnesses taught that they must believe what they are told?

Did our loving Father not give us the ability to THINK for ourselves? Did He not promise that His Holy Spirit would help us, through prayer, to ascertain the answer to any problem that we come to Him with?

To be attracted to this young lady is not "wrong". But she obviously "sees" what you do not! That if you were not in this organization, you would be able to "see", and "think" for yourself...and not coming here, asking us for help and advice!

(Of course it's OKAY to come to us...that is what we are here for: each other! I am just giving you a little something to "chew on".)

I hope that you will go to your heavenly Father in prayer. (Unfortunately, many of the Brothers' have a difficult time praying...due to the never ending "guilt", and "fear", that they are not "good enough"!)

Love, and the ability to love, is one of the most PRECIOUS GIFTS that our Father gave to us. It is a blessed and sacred thing. So go to Jehovah, please, in prayer...and ask Him for His guidance. Remember that the Psalms tell us that "Jehovah is a hearer of prayer"; that "He hears the prayers of a sincere heart".

(Now don't go on and worry if you're "sincere" or not!)

We are ALL here for you!! You can FEEL FREE to post at any time. And please do not get scared that posting here is some "sin", and that the Brothers' "might find out". (They won't, anyway.)

I never could understand why the religion seemed to be based on "fear", anyway...fear of "what Br. Elder might think", or "what Sister Pioneer might say". Perfect love throws fear outside!

I think that you know, in your heart, why this girl does not return your calls. She is probably very intelligent, and with some education. She can see the organization for what it is: a man-made organization that a LOT of people follow...WITHOUT QUESTION...and that you are not only one of them, you don't even SEE what she sees.

She knows that there is nothing she can say.

I hope that I have not "scared you". None of us are "wicked". We joke a lot about being "Apostates" because the society has portrayed ANYONE who has been a member, and then decided it was not for them, as an apostate. The dictionay's definition of the word, "Apostate" is: "One who no longer believes his religion's teaching, and has left it". That's it!!

Yet the society has gone through great pains to indoctrinate all of Jehohvah's Witnesses to associate the word, "Apostate", with some terrible terms:

A "Hater of Jehovah".

One who has "turned his back" on the "truth".

One who is a "lover of Satan". (That's my favorite!)

One who "twists" the truth. (My next favorite)

And, one who trys to "entice" others away from "the truth".

Ring any bells?? I hope that you can get hold of the original "TRUTH" book, put out in 1969. (It's dark blue)

In about the third paragraph the book admonishes the reader to "test out whether or not they have the true religion". I remember that book being hailed as one of the most exciting, and important, publications that the society had, as yet, published...and that it was going to be VERY INSTRUMENTAL in "bringing in" thousands of "sheep" in a short time...because it was showing "the truth" so "clearly".

I guess it is no coincidence that "The Truth" book is no longer studied...or even considered to be "light".

We all care for you!! I will be praying for you in this!

Hi there!

I would like to say "Thank You!" to you for all of your kindness, Christian love, and words of support. My heart goes out to you all for the pain and sorrow that you have gone through...but "praise Jehovah!", because we are out from "under the influence", and we now "know" that we have the right to "use our perseptive powers"! (Hebrews 5:14)

I am grateful to Jehovah for this wonderful site, where we can have loving association, share our hearts, and support with one another.
